FAMILIAR AND EXTRAORDINARY FOR EVER . . . or maybe not for ever . . . ?

West Bay end of cliff with pebbles in foreground and sea beside.

Cliff and pebbles.

Beautiful scene. It looks like nature has taken it's toll on the face of the cliff.

Beautiful photo. Looking at the thumbnail of this I thought it was a hay stack on the prairie. Ah, you've done better than that with your excellent composition.

Hello Andy and Taken for Granted. Your comments are specially welcome because I have been so very erratic about posting these last few months.

This is an exceptionally beautiful stretch of coastline. Part of the interest is in the number of fossils found - but fossils fall because the cliffs are soft and being fast eroded. There have been many cliff-falls and it is already quite dangerous to go close to their feet.

I love this. It would be wonderful to live in that side-of-the-hill farm.
