COBBLED STREET AND BLOSSOM

Cobbled street, industry, old housing, new housing, community centre, pink blossom.

19th April 2018.
Suddenly there is sunshine. It went from cold to hot overnight. 23 degrees may not seem hot to some readers in some parts of the world but the heat and the glare was too much for me. I came home, lay down for a while and was then sick.
The trees noticed too. Blossom erupted. Leaf buds opened. If this continues we will swing from winter to summer without proper spring.

WARLEY MUSEUM

Phonebox housing Warley Museum - Museum of Wonders.

I've increased the saturation of this photograph so you can more easily see into the phone box. It is quite creepy - and includes such objects as a man and woman who share a neck but no head, models of dismembered hands and a naked doll which appears to have been made from horsehair. If you are able to enlarge the picture sufficiently (begin by clicking on it then zoom in) you will be able to take a look at the objects in this side of the display. Unfortunately the Museum was closed when I visited. Otherwise I would have been able to read the notices inside which might have explained what this is all about!

MOSS ON THE SIDE OF A BUILDING

Moss growing on the vertical face a building viewed from above.

Moss growing on the vertical face a building viewed from above. (You can see a drain pipe coming down on the right and the tarmac pavement beneath it - which, because photographed from above, is at the top of the picture.
